Being a Virtual Assistant doesn’t mean it’s going to be all a breeze. Easy. Spoon feeding.
NO.
It’s not what you are thinking. You have to stand out!
In a corporate world, I am not a manager. Neither is a Boss. I have someone to direct me in every task I am doing and keeping is like an easy dandy. When I started being a Virtual Assistant I learn a lot of things. I don’t do what I am doing in office like if I don’t feel like going to work, I don’t work. Leaving everything to my manager and tell myself that it is his job. Now, that I am on my own. I need to motivate myself to work. Every. Single. Day. Forever.
You can think that I don’t really do my job because I woke not so early in the morning, I don’t wear my dress and everything like a typical employee. You are wrong! I run the extra mile with my job I work till dawn just to make sure that everything is a push within the due dates much much more.
It’s not easy. In today’s reality, I learn to be responsible in my task, I make sure that I am committed to my task. I accepted wholeheartedly every mistake that I have done even it’s not really my fault. IF you mess up then fess up! Fix it and make amends. Do not charge back. You have to LISTEN, you have to ACCEPT your mistakes and LEARN from it.
Now, I have to be the perfectionist. I need to make sure I will not commit a mistake or I will lose my job! I want to be outstanding, I want to be the top dog a client should have and I want to be a successful VA.
I want to make sure I am the most reliable VA the client could ever have. Remember that if you are walking a mile for your client, he will feel that you are interested in his success and you want to be a part of it.
But Remember this too.
Sometimes it doesn’t always work out with a client and you need to fire them. That’s the hardest part.
